Vida Saudável

Vida Saudável is a brand channel specialized in healthy lifestyle. It was designed by Gazeta Esportiva as an answer to a niche audience interested in specific topics such as events, fashion, well-being and diet food.

The client

Gazeta Esportiva is a renowned major sports TV show/news website, very popular among brazilian sports fans. From 2015 to 2017, I worked there as a Consultant Designer for their web and technology department.

Business opportunities

Gazeta Esportiva solved many of their website issues by the release of a new portal in 2016. After a performance boost, a new content management system and now an improved user experience, product managers were granted more time to explore business opportunities. Through data analysis and user metrics, they found out that there was a women-oriented niche with an interest for meaningful content around the subjects of healthy lifestyle, diet food, sports accessories and events.

Vida Saudável

The channel was bound to be a profitable source of revenue by managing sponsored content and advertisement, and it soon became an exemplary case of user activation and engagement, as a result of the collaboration between sports and health professionals who contributed as both authors and influencers.

My role as a designer

I was responsible for creating the channel’s visual identity. With a briefing that outlined the client's needs, I started a desk and benchmark research to consolidate key concepts and specify design components, graphic elements, typography and color schemes.

I also came up with the design for a responsive user interface, taking into account that the website was expected to keep a consistent experience within the portal and also among other channels. I contributed, supervised and tested front-end implementation.
